Big Red Shoe Run 2026

The Big Red Shoe Run returns to Belle River on April 26, 2026, as a one-day, in-person community 5K organized by the local Big Red Shoe Run team (event contact: Melissa Eagen). Now in its ninth year, the event has grown into a spring fixture in Lakeshore, drawing participants from Tilbury to LaSalle and Windsor to Leamington.

The core offering is a 5K Run–Walk–Dash that kicks off at 10:00 a.m. EDT, with a separate Kids Dash for younger participants. The format encourages teams and family groups: individual registrations are available and there’s an option to create or join a fundraising team. Registration tiers include early-bird, advanced and regular pricing windows leading up to race day.

The run raises funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities – Southwestern Ontario (RMHC Windsor), and team fundraising pages figure prominently in the event’s outreach.
