The West Rouge Sports & Recreation Association (WRSRA), founded in 1960, organizes the annual Fun Run to promote social, sporting, cultural, and recreational activities within the Rouge community. This well-established event features multiple race categories suitable for a diverse range of participants.

The event showcases scenic routes starting at Port Union Waterfront Park with courses along the Ron Moeser Trail, Waterfront Trail Bridge, and Highland Creek Trail, primarily on paved and compacted gravel surfaces.

• Starts at Port Union Waterfront Park heading east to Rouge Beach
• 5K course turnaround at Rouge Beach
• 10K course continues west crossing Waterfront Trail Bridge to Highland Creek Trail
• Mostly paved trails with some sections of compacted gravel
• Trail closed to vehicular traffic but shared with pedestrians and cyclists
