The Toronto Marathon, established in 1977, is a premier annual spring running event held on the first Sunday of May. The marathon features a fast, downhill, and scenic course through diverse Toronto neighborhoods, starting at Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue and finishing at Exhibition Place, attracting runners seeking Boston Marathon qualification and personal bests.
Participants of all levels enjoy distances from 5K up to Marathon and Relay, supported by well-spaced aid stations and a vibrant urban setting. Drawing between 8,000 to 10,000 runners from over 55 countries, the event offers a professionally organized and inclusive race day experience in one of Canada's largest cities.
