TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon 2025

The TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon is Canada’s premier running event and the grand finale of the Canada Running Series. Since 2017, it has served as the Athletics Canada National Marathon Championships and Olympic Trials, attracting runners from over 70 countries with the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K race.

Held every October in vibrant downtown Toronto, participants run scenic routes along the waterfront through diverse neighborhoods, supported by aid stations approximately every 3 km and medical services coordinated by Odyssey Medical. Strollers are welcome in the 5K only, with green Impact Bib options promoting sustainability.

• Marathon: 42.195 km course starting on Yonge St., near Gerrard St., facing northbound
• Finish line at Bay St., just north of Queen St.
• Half Marathon: 21.097 km, same start and finish locations as the Marathon
• 5K: 5 km, starts on University Ave., near Adelaide St., finishes at Bay St., just north of Queen St.
• All races on road surfaces
• Hydration and aid stations approximately every 3 km
• Medical tent located near finish line at Queen and Bay
• Time limit of 6 hours for the marathon
• Course passes through more than a dozen Toronto neighborhoods including waterfront areas

• Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K events attracting over 25,000 participants from 70+ countries

• 5K on Oct 18 at 9:00 AM; Marathon & Half Marathon on Oct 19 at 8:00 AM
• Marathon time limit 6 hours
• Entry limit of 10,000 for the marathon
• Green Bib Impact Program available for sustainability-conscious runners
• Strollers allowed only in the 5K event
• Medical services by Odyssey Medical with main medical tent near finish
