About
The Springbank Sprint takes place on April 4, 2026 in London, Ontario. Organized by Persistence Racing, the one-day community road-and-path race brings runners to Springbank Park for a springtime tune-up and family outing.
Runners can choose a 5 km or 10 km distance, and there are multiple kids' events including a 1 km junior run plus 50 metre and 100 metre short sprints. The 5 km, 10 km and 1 km kids' races are run as out-and-back courses, while the 50 m and 100 m kids' races are short point-to-point sprints. All races begin and end at the Stone Cottage (1085 Commissioners Road West), with ample parking close to the start/finish area.
What sets Springbank Sprint apart is the setting: fast, multi-use paved pathways of the Thames Valley Parkway that run alongside the Thames River inside Springbank Park, and a course that is closed to traffic. The 5 km and 10 km courses are measured by Bernard Conway, Athletics Canada Chief Certifier and a World Athletics/AIMS Grade A measurer, and certified by Athletics Canada; the event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Persistence Racing also directs proceeds toward the Children's Health Foundation, reflecting a local, family-focused vibe and a charity connection that benefits the community.
Registration is handled through the Race Roster entry page; check the Race Roster listing for entry windows and race-day details.
