About
Race Around the Place brings three distances to Carleton Place on October 24, 2026: a half marathon, 10K and 5K. The event is built around a local, volunteer-led feel, with proceeds supporting the Lanark County Hunger Stop Food Bank.
The routes highlight Carleton Place’s downtown, river views and nearby trail sections, giving runners a hometown course with a mix of streets and multi-use paths. Post-race plans are set for downtown, so there’s a natural place to linger after the finish.
For runners looking for a local race with a strong community footprint, this one lands squarely in the middle of town and makes the most of the area’s familiar roads and paths.
