About
The Physio Fit Run returns to Winnipeg in May for its 34th annual in-person celebration on May 9, 2026. Held inside Assiniboine Park, the event has grown into a spring fixture for families, schools and recreational runners across Manitoba while continuing its long-running community tradition.
Race day offers a range of distances to suit school groups and neighbourhood runners: a 10K (run as two loops of the course), a single-loop 5K, a 3K and a 1K kids run. All races begin at 8:00 a.m. on race day with the 1K starting shortly after at 8:05 a.m. Start and finish are staged from the Nature’s Playground parking lot, and organizers provide bag check in the Conservatory on race morning.
What sets Physio Fit apart is its community focus and included extras. Every registration includes a free t-shirt and a medal. The event donates profits to Prairie Strides (formerly Manitoba Riding for the Disabled), which provides therapeutic horseback riding for children ages 5–15. The 10K has recognition within Manitoba’s running scene, and the 5K has been officially named the Physio Fit Run 5K for the next decade. The race is also part of MRA series programming for 2026, and post-race perks include snacks (notably a Subway cookie) plus prize giveaways and school spirit awards.
Registration is open now with a registration deadline of April 24, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Race kits are available for pickup at City Park Runners on Thursday, May 7 (4:00–7:30 p.m.) or on race morning from 6:30–7:30 a.m.
