Go For the Burn Run 2026

Go For the Burn Run takes place on April 25, 2026 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is organized by the Mamingwey Burn Society Inc. The event brings runners and walkers together in support of burn survivors and their families, continuing a community-focused tradition tied to the Society’s mission of hope, healing and reintegration.

Race day begins at 9:00 a.m. in Assiniboine Park and offers multiple distances to suit different goals: a timed 10K, a timed 5K and a 3K walk/youth run. The 10K and 5K attract competitive local runners—this edition is part of the Manitoba Roadrunners Association (MRA) Classic Series and the MRA Youth Series—while the 3K provides an accessible option for families and young participants.

What sets Go For the Burn Run apart is its charity-first focus and strong local backing. Proceeds support programs for burn survivors and their families delivered by Mamingwey Burn Society; the event also draws support from local running groups, with City Park Runners listed as a sponsor for 2026. The park setting offers a community-friendly atmosphere where competitors, volunteers and supporters gather for a purpose beyond sport: fundraising, awareness and mutual support for survivors.

Registration is open through Race Roster; entrants can pick the distance that fits their goals and register online. Competitive runners will appreciate the timed 10K/5K; community members will find the 3K a straightforward way to participate and support the cause.
