The Vancouver Island Trail Running Series is Vancouver Island's premier trail running event, taking runners off paved roads and onto some of Western Canada's most stunning trail networks. The Qualicum Bay race offers breathtaking views and challenging terrain that promise an exhilarating experience filled with flowy trails and scenic beauty.

Participants can enjoy multiple race distances, including a kid’s run, short course, and long course, each showcasing the natural beauty of Vancouver Island. This cupless event encourages sustainability, with aid stations requiring runners to bring their own cups or bottles. Post-race festivities include snacks, awards, dinner, and a fun Halloween costume contest.

• Kid's Race: ~1 km, starts 11:15 AM, entry fee $13.19
• Short Course: ~11 km, starts 12:00 PM, entry fee $57.59–$80.00 depending on registration date, no strollers
• Long Course: ~26 km, starts 11:30 AM, entry fee $68.69–$90.00 depending on registration date, no strollers
• No specified age restrictions or green bib availability
• Bib pickup requires government-issued photo ID; pickup times staggered by race

• Kid's Race starts at 11:15 AM
• Long Course starts at 11:30 AM
• Short Course starts at 12:00 PM
• Aid stations on Short Course (1 at 5 km) and Long Course (2 at 5 km and 18.5 km)
