Summer Shores 5K/8K 2025

Celebrate the unofficial last day of summer on Labour Day with the Summer Shores 5K/8K event. Participants can run or walk 1KM, 5KM, or run 8KM along the scenic Hamilton waterfront trail. The course starts and ends at the Edgewater Pavilion in Confederation Beach Park. Early registrants receive running belts and discounts are offered to seniors and youth.

This event supports community causes, with proceeds from the 1KM race benefitting Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln, and West Lincoln. Enjoy a fun and inclusive race day with stroller-friendly options and a commitment to rain-or-shine participation.

• Distances: 1KM (run/walk), 5KM (run/walk), 8KM (run)
• Course type: Road
• Start & finish at Edgewater Pavilion, Confederation Beach Park
• Timing: In-person races start 9:00 AM (1KM), 9:30 AM (5KM & 8KM)
• Virtual options for 5KM and 8KM available to run anytime on race day
• Early and late registration fees vary by race distance
• Discounts available for seniors and youth

• Non-perishable food items collected on race day for Hamilton Food Share
• Strollers permitted; stroller participants start at rear of corral
• Dogs are not allowed
• Race held rain or shine; cancellations only in extreme conditions
• Race kit pickup on August 31, 2025 at Stoney Creek Running Room and on race day at Edgewater Pavilion
