The Great Waterfront Trail Adventure (GWTA) is an annual cycling tour celebrating the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail. The 2025 event marks the 30th anniversary, featuring an 8-day, 640 km loop from and back to Hamilton, Ontario, showcasing stunning waterfront communities along Lake Ontario, Lake Huron, and Lake Erie.

Participants experience mostly flat terrain with some steep inclines, riding a mix of paved roads, multi-use trails, and unpaved limestone sections. The event attracts diverse cyclists aged 16 and older.
