The Blue Bully Ultra is Ontario's premier three-day stage trail race, held annually at Blue Mountain Resort in The Blue Mountains, Ontario. Scheduled for October 3-5, 2025, this event offers a unique and challenging experience for trail runners of all abilities, set against the stunning backdrop of the Bruce Peninsula's autumn colors. The race is organized by Sinister Sports, known for their high-quality, community-focused endurance events.
The event is structured as a stage race, with each day featuring a different format and distance. Day 1, 'The Stampede,' is a 5 km sprint with a significant vertical challenge. Day 2, 'The Drive,' offers both 50 km and 25 km cross-country races, each with substantial elevation gain. Day 3, 'The Round-Up,' is a timed loop race, with options for 3-hour and 1.5-hour durations. Runners can choose between the 'Big Bully' (longer distances) and 'Little Bully' (shorter distances) categories, and there is also a family-friendly kids race. The event is known for its festive atmosphere, daily award ceremonies, and generous participant swag.

Course
The Blue Bully Ultra course is set entirely on dirt trails at Blue Mountain Resort. Day 1 ('The Stampede') is a 5 km sprint with 400 meters of elevation gain, emphasizing steep climbs and technical descents. Day 2 ('The Drive') features two options: a 50 km race with 1,800 meters of elevation gain and a 25 km race with 1,250 meters of gain, both traversing rugged, forested terrain with challenging ascents and descents. Day 3 ('The Round-Up') is a looped course of 3.75 km with 250 meters of elevation gain per loop, run as either a 3-hour or 1.5-hour timed event. The terrain is 100% dirt trail, offering a mix of singletrack, open ski runs, and forest paths, with technical sections and panoramic views.
