The 5km Run for the Frontline is a timed 5-kilometer run held annually to honor and support First Responders and Frontline Workers in the community. This inclusive event welcomes everyone, offering a chance to connect with those dedicated to helping others while enjoying a scenic route through Canatara Park.

Proceeds support charities aiding frontline workers, with the 2025 beneficiary being BOOTS ON THE GROUND (Ontario). Participants can choose between a 5 KM run/walk or a 1 KM fun run for kids aged 12 and under.

• Course on paved paths within Canatara Park (Road surface)
• Start and finish at the Terry Fox loop
• Scenic park route
• Race kit pickup at Terry Fox loop
• Two start times: 1 KM at 10:00 AM, 5 KM at 10:15 AM

• Two distances: 5 KM run/walk and 1 KM fun run for kids 12 and under
• Participants can choose to run or walk
• Service animals and dogs allowed
• Team category: Guardian Cup Challenge for teams of 5
• Race kits available for pickup on race day morning
• Pre-race stretch session
• Finisher's medal and limited edition t-shirt for 5 KM participants
• No refunds or BIB transfers
