The FOODFARE Winnipeg Police Service Half Marathon returns Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Assiniboine Park — Manitoba's premier spring road race and a long-running fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. The inclusive event offers Half Marathon, two-person relay, and 5K in-person options, plus virtual distances for runners who cannot attend race day.

After more than 20 years, the WPS Half Marathon has raised over $2.8 million for Canadian Cancer Society research. For Winnipeg road races and Winnipeg races, it's a flat, paved Assiniboine Park course on the MRA calendar.

Live races start and finish in Assiniboine Park on flat, paved park roads. The two-person relay covers approximately 10.5 km per runner on the half marathon route. Course closes at 12:00 p.m. Virtual participants may complete their distance April 25–June 1, 2026.
