2026 The Wooly Bully Races

The Wooly Bully Races bring runners back to Amherst Island with a start on South Shore Road west of Stella at the homestead of Reta Brown. It’s a small island race day with a shoreline setting on Lake Ontario and a local feel that suits the setting.

Runners can choose from 5K, 10K, or a 1K youth run. The event also supports the Neilson Store Museum, and race morning includes the ferry crossing from Millhaven to Amherst Island before heading to the start area.

The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back route on South Shore Road beside Lake Ontario. The course is marked in kilometres, and water stations support both distances.

The start area is about 4 km from the Stella ferry dock, so runners should plan around the Amherst Island ferry from Millhaven. The 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. ferries are the ones noted for getting participants to the race in time.
