BK5K Waterloo 2026

The fourth annual BK5K Waterloo returns to Waterloo Park on Sunday, August 30, 2026. This community 5K run/walk supports area youth through the local BK5K Youth Fund Award Committee, with cash prizes for top overall finishers and age-group awards for 5K participants.

A free Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under follows the main race at 10:15 a.m. Entry includes a timed 5K, post-race breakfast, and the chance to donate prize money back to youth grants. For more road races in Waterloo, it is a late-summer staple separate from the Run Waterloo calendar.

The race starts and finishes at Waterloo Park (50 Young St W). The 5K is chip-timed with age-group awards and overall trophies. The Kids Fun Run is a separate untimed event after the main race. Official materials list online registration through RunSignup; early registration ends July 30, 2026.
