About
Heart Lake is a fall trail stop in the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series, set for October 3 in Brampton. The event takes place at Heart Lake Conservation Area, where shaded trails and park paths wrap around the spring-fed kettle lake the area is named for.
The race offers a broad spread of options, from a free 1K kids event and 3K Kids Run to 7.5K Sport, 14.6K Enduro, and 22.5K Grit distances. That mix makes it a workable day for families, newer trail runners, and people looking for a longer outing on local trails.
For runners in the city, it’s also an easy way to line up a trail race without leaving Brampton. Races in Brampton

Course
The course uses the trail network at Heart Lake Conservation Park, with shaded sections through mixed forest and park paths around the lake. Distances include 1K, 3K, 7.5K, 14.6K, and 22.5K options.
The event is cup-free: water and electrolyte drink are available at the start/finish and at one or more aid stations on course, so runners should plan to carry a personal drinking receptacle for longer outings. Parking is listed at the Birchmount lot near the Wild Wetland Splash and Pool, and washrooms are available at the start/finish area.
