2026 24 Hour To Empower Running Challenge

The 24 Hour To Empower Running Challenge returns to Barrie on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Athletic Kulture, raising funds for the Women & Children's Shelter of Barrie. Over 24 hours, participants run a 5K loop every hour on the hour — up to 120 km solo or as a relay — or join for as many loops as they choose.

Each kilometre symbolizes a step forward for women and children rebuilding their lives after domestic violence. For more road races in Barrie and other Barrie races, it's a unique endurance fundraiser on Reid Drive.

Loops start from Athletic Kulture at 154 Reid Drive in Barrie. Participants complete a 5 km course each hour from 10:00 a.m. Saturday through the 24-hour window. Relay teams can share loops; solo runners can register for any number of loops from one through 24.
