The First Blaze Trail Race 2025 is a unique trail running event scheduled for July 12, 2025, in Milton, Ontario. Sanctioned by Athletics Ontario, the race offers three challenging distances: a 50km point-to-point race (approximately 51.8km), a 25km point-to-point race (approximately 27.5km), and a new 10km out-and-back course. Participants will traverse diverse terrains along the Toronto Bruce Trail, experiencing scenic locations such as the Cheltenham Badlands, Limehouse Conservation Area, and the historic site of the first blaze on the Bruce Trail.

The event emphasizes a grassroots, community atmosphere with a cap of 175 participants. Runners will follow the well-marked white blazes of the Bruce Trail without additional race flagging, offering an authentic trail adventure. Aid stations, finisher medals, and race swag are provided. Trail shoes are mandatory, and participants must carry their own hydration systems.

* 50km Trail Race: Approx. 51.8km, starts at 9:00 AM. * 25km Trail Race: Approx. 27.5km, starts at 10:30 AM. * 10km Trail Race: 10km out-and-back, starts at 9:45 AM at Kelso Conservation Area. * All races follow the white blazes of the Bruce Trail with well-marked routes but no additional race flagging. * Trail shoes mandatory for all participants. * Aid stations available along the courses.

• 10km race is an out-and-back course starting and ending at Kelso Conservation Area.
