About
The Endless Pit Backyard Ultra brings the backyard-ultra format to Midland, Ontario: a repeated 6.706 km loop run on the hour until only one runner is left standing. It is a race built around pacing, routine, and the grind of returning to the line again and again.
The event centres on a camp-and-corridor setup near the start/finish area, which makes it easy for crews and spectators to follow the action between laps. Runners compete on mixed double-track and field-edge terrain, with the format placing as much emphasis on recovery and decision-making as on speed.
Finisher recognition is part of the draw here, with handcrafted wooden medals for those who complete the day. The race also lists participant swag that includes custom running socks and a camper-style cap.
