The Herring Run is a scenic trail race offering both 10 km and 20 km distances on a course of mostly single and double track trails, combined with two paved road crossings and striking views along Passamaquoddy Bay. Participants enjoy crossing a sizable cove at low tide and running past inland ponds on private land generously opened by owners for this event.

Runners should be prepared to carry their own water due to limited aid stations, and can expect mild summer temperatures with highs near 19°C in late June.
