About
The Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women is Canada’s largest annual event series dedicated to supporting women’s mental health. Since its launch in 2013, the series has raised over $23 million for local mental health programs across 18 Canadian communities. The event brings together thousands of participants each year, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose while raising vital funds for mental health initiatives.
The Vancouver edition of the Run for Women will take place on May 9, 2026, at UBC Farm. The event features three race categories: a 1K Little Steps for children, a 5K Run/Walk, and a 10K Run/Walk, making it accessible for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Funds raised from the Vancouver event support the Reproductive Mental Health Program at BC Women’s Hospital, directly benefiting women facing mental health challenges during pregnancy and postpartum periods. Participants enjoy a festive atmosphere, receive a generous swag bag, and contribute to a meaningful cause.
