Shamrockin' 5K 2026

Shamrockin' 5K returns to St. John's on March 15, 2026, as a lively spring road 5K that centers on community fundraising. The event lists Sean O'Grady as the event contact and supports the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador. Organizers cap entries to keep the field compact and festival-like.

This is a single-distance, single-day event: a fast, flat 5K that kicks off at 11:00 a.m. NDT and both starts and finishes at Jack Astor's on Harbour Drive. The race is chip timed and aimed at offering a quick course for fast efforts and social runners alike. Bib pickup takes place at Running Room Churchill Square on Friday, March 13 (2:00–5:00 p.m.) and Saturday, March 14 (11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.).

What sets Shamrockin' apart is the post-race party atmosphere. Entry includes live music, free beer, draw prizes, and an as-yet-unveiled medal — and the finish funnels straight back into Jack Astor's for the celebration. The race operates as a fundraiser; recent totals show fundraising beyond the event goal for the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, reinforcing the event's local charity focus.

Registration is limited (entry cap listed at 350) and follows published fee windows; the late registration window runs through March 14, 2026. Prospective entrants should register before the cap fills to guarantee a spot and to participate in the post-race festivities.
