The HBIA 5K By the Bay is an annual event organized by the Hamilton Brain Injury Association to support brain injury survivors and their families. Celebrating its 20th year in 2025, this run/walk event includes activities to raise awareness and funds during Brain Injury Awareness Month.

Join runners, walkers, families, and community members in Hamilton for a day of engagement including the Walk a Mile in My Shoes, Blake Heys Memorial Kids 1K Fun Run, and the 5K Classic Race.

* Certified 5K Classic Race by Athletics Canada * Road surface throughout the course * Event scheduled in mid-June with typical temperatures 21°C to 23°C (69°F to 74°F) * Moderate humidity levels expected * Start and events located at Pier 4 Park, Hamilton, ON * Schedule includes staggered start times: Walk 9:45 AM, Kids Run 10:30 AM, 5K Race 11:30 AM

• 20th anniversary event supporting brain injury survivors and families
• Multiple activities including family walk, kids fun run, and certified 5K race
• Hosted in scenic Pier 4 Park, Hamilton, ON
• Community-focused event raising awareness during Brain Injury Awareness Month
• Participation of approximately 300-400 runners, walkers, and supporters
