The Fast Days of Summer 5000 and Mile is a flat, fast 5K race with chip timing held annually in Kelowna, BC. The course is certified and ideal for all runners aiming to set personal records or compete for points in the IRA 2025 standings.

Alongside the 5K, a certified 1-mile race takes place, followed by an untimed kids' fun run with participation by donation. All proceeds benefit the UBCO Heat cross country program, supporting local athletics.

• The 5000: 5 km, Road, race start 8:00 AM, entry fee CA$37.00
• The One Miler: 1 mile, Road, race start 9:15 AM, entry fee CA$22.00
• Both Races: 5 km and 1 mile, Road, starts 8:00 AM and 9:15 AM, entry fee CA$50.00
• Kids' Fun Run: untimed, after the One Miler, by donation

• Flat, fast, and certified 5K course (BC-2023-021-BDC)
• Certified 1-mile race (BC-2023-020-BDC) starting at 9:15 AM
• Untimed kids' "fun run" after the mile race, participation by donation
• All proceeds benefit the UBCO Heat cross country program
• Package pickup for the 5000: 7:00-7:45 AM on race morning
• Package pickup for the Mile: 8:15-9:00 AM on race morning
• Registration closes August 30th at 6 PM
