DSpring Fling 5km 2026

DSpring Fling 5km on March 28, 2026 brings a compact, fast 5-kilometre road race to Hamilton, Ontario. Organized by Run Hamilton with an association to the Steel City Athletic Club, the race sits on the city’s spring calendar as a popular tune-up for Around the Bay and a welcome early-season target for local runners.

The event is a single-day, in-person 5 km held on the waterfront trail at Bayfront Park, with a race-day start at 11:00 a.m. EDT. The course uses the paved Harbourfront Drive/Bayfront trail and is advertised as flat, fast and traffic-free; chip timing records finish times and results are posted after the race. Runners who register by the technical-shirt cutoff receive a race shirt, and every finisher receives a custom medal.

What sets DSpring Fling apart is the waterfront setting and community-focused extras: a fan-friendly layout that keeps support close to the course, post-race hot food for participants, event photos posted afterward, and awards for the first three overall men and women plus the top three in five-year age groups.
