The Crazy Muley Ultra is Alberta's only sand dune ultramarathon, featuring challenging 50K and 25K-ish trail races across unique landscapes including rolling hills and sand dune complexes. Participants can expect a tough course on mixed terrain with loose sand and minimal shade, promoting environmental responsibility by being cup-less; runners should bring their own reusable cups.

The race starts and finishes at the Sand Dune Liquor Store parking lot in Edgerton, with aid stations provided along the routes. The event also welcomes well-behaved dogs under specific leashing guidelines and concludes at a local bar offering discounts to celebrate runners' achievements.
