Cinnamon Bun Fun Run 2026

The Cinnamon Bun Fun Run takes place Saturday, August 8, 2026 in Edmonton, Alberta, with activities centred at Kinsmen Park (Picnic Site 1). This family-oriented morning brings neighbours together for a short kids run, timed runs and walk options that welcome families and recreational participants.

The event program includes a 1K Little Cinnamon Bun Kids Run starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by the 10K Run at 10:00 a.m., the 5K Run at 10:05 a.m., the 10K Walk at 10:10 a.m., and the 5K Walk at 10:15 a.m. Both kids and adult entries are available across the run and walk distances, so groups and families can register for different distances and start times.

What sets this community run apart are the small, local touches: every participant receives a keepsake medal and a Freson Bros cinnamon bun with refreshing lemonade at the finish, and the event supports The Rotary Club of Edmonton Riverview Charitable Trust. The Running Room appears as a local sponsor, and the atmosphere focuses on a relaxed, social morning rather than high-performance racing.

Registration is open through race day with online sign-up available; race kit pickup is scheduled for Friday, August 7 between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the 109th Street Running Room (8537 – 109 Street, Edmonton).
