Canmore Rocky Mountain Half Marathon, 10 km & 5 km 2025

The Canmore Rocky Mountain Half Marathon, 10KM & 5KM is a vibrant community event drawing runners from across Canada. The half marathon course offers a mix of asphalt and high-quality gravel paths featuring several short climbs and winding routes amidst stunning mountain scenery. The 10KM and 5KM races provide accessible, scenic courses suitable for runners of all levels, showcasing breathtaking views of Ha Ling Peak and the Three Sisters.

In addition to the main races, a free kids race is held at Centennial Park track for children aged 3 to 8. Please note strollers and dogs are not permitted in any of the races to ensure safety and smooth race operations.

• Half Marathon: 21.1 km, road and gravel surfaces, start at 8:30 AM.
• 10KM: Flat road course, start at 9:00 AM.
• 5KM: Flat road course, start at 9:15 AM.
• Kids Race: 1 lap (ages 3-5) or 2 laps (ages 6-8) around Centennial Park track, start at 11:00 AM.
• Entry fees vary by race and registration date; free for kids race.
• No strollers allowed in any event.

• Half Marathon course features woodlands, mountain streams, historic mine site, gradual 70m elevation gain and loss, with five water stations.
• 10KM race is fast, flat, through town and along the Bow River with three water stations.
• 5KM race is flat and suitable for all levels.
• Free kids race for ages 3-8 at Centennial Park running track.
• Strollers and dogs are not allowed in any race.
