Urban Trail Racing’s Wild Lakes 10K returns Sunday, May 3, 2026, from the Maskwa Aquatics Club parking lot into the Blue Mountain–Birch Cove Lakes protected wilderness. The 10K loop passes five lakes on single-track trail — an approachable spring trail race within Halifax Regional Municipality.

Halifax Search & Rescue’s Eco-Endurance Challenge (E2C) runs concurrently, so you may share trails with 24-hour navigation racers. The race starts from the Maskwa Aquatics Club parking lot at 91 Saskatoon Drive and heads into the Blue Mountain–Birch Cove Lakes protected wilderness on a 10 km loop. Urban Trail Racing publishes a GPX route on its website. Single-track sections and lake views define the course; E2C 24-hour racers may be on overlapping trails during the Sunday morning window.
