Utopia Backyard Ultra 2026

Utopia Backyard Ultra 2026 is a backyard-style trail race at Tiffin Centre for Conservation in Utopia, Ontario. Runners start one 6.7056 km loop every hour, continuing until the open-ended Backyard field has a final finisher.

The 2026 event also includes fixed-hour Backyard 24, Backyard 12 and Backyard 6 formats for runners who want the same hourly-loop structure with a defined cap. All races use the same start-line rhythm and begin at 7:00 AM.

The race uses a 6.7056 km backyard loop at Tiffin Centre for Conservation. The route is mostly crushed gravel with a wooded section on sandier trail, and the profile is relatively flat with about 45 m of elevation per loop.

Runners return to the same start area each hour. The open-ended Backyard continues until one runner remains, while the Backyard 24, Backyard 12 and Backyard 6 formats use the same loop and hourly start structure with fixed duration caps.
