Trail des Sommets 2026

Trail des Sommets is a new trail running event from Les Classiques Capitale on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Station de ski Stoneham in Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury. Departures and finishes are at the Stoneham base, with routes linking Stoneham Mountain to Empire 47 summits on accessible singletrack through forests and open ridges north of Quebec City.

Distances span 2.5K through 30K, plus a 6-hour Viking loop challenge and a youth 20-minute format. Official start times on race day include 9:00 a.m. for the 6H Viking, 9:30 a.m. for 30K, 10:00 a.m. for 20K, 10:30 a.m. for 10K, 12:30 p.m. for 2.5K, and 1:15 p.m. for the 20-minute youth loop. Registration guide was listed as forthcoming on the organizer site in July 2026.

The event starts and finishes at Station de ski Stoneham (199 Chemin de la Montagne). The flagship 30K loop connects Stoneham trails with Empire 47 summits; the 20K is two 10K loops and the 10K uses familiar Stoneham singletrack. A 6H Viking format starts at 9:00 a.m., and a 2.5K discovery distance is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Organizer materials note a youth 20-minute loop (~500 m) inspired by backyard-ultra pacing.
