2026 Totem to Totem Haida Marathon, half and 10k

Totem to Totem Haida Marathon, half and 10K brings road racing into Skidegate on Haida Gwaii, with all three distances starting from the Haida Heritage Centre. The setting is shoreline-driven and distinctly coastal, with the route built around the roads beside the water.

Runners can choose from marathon, half marathon, or 10K distances. The event keeps a local, community-race feel while giving each distance a straightforward point-to-point-style out-and-back structure.

This year, a totem pole raising is planned after the last runner finishes in Skidegate.

The courses run out and back from the Haida Heritage Centre on shore roads in Skidegate. The marathon continues past Miller Creek and turns around at St. Mary’s Spring, the half marathon turns near Miller Creek Road, and the 10K goes beyond Balance Rock.
