2026 Summer Sunset Series

The 2026 Summer Sunset Series takes place in Hamilton, ON on August 27, 2026. This evening event brings runners and families to the Desjardins Recreation Trail for a summer race with a waterfront feel. Choose from a 5K Walk/Run or 1K Kids Run on a fast, flat course along the trail. Expect chip timing for the 5K, medals for kids, and a low-key community race-day setup with post-race refreshments and draw prizes.

The course runs along Hamilton’s waterfront trail at Desjardins Recreation Trail, with a fast, flat out-and-back layout for the 5K and a 1K kids run on the trail. Race-day pickup starts on site, and parking is available nearby with some paid onsite access.
