About
The Royal Victoria Marathon brings a full weekend of road racing to Victoria, with routes that move through quiet city streets, Oak Bay, and the Inner Harbour. The event has a long local following and a clear destination-race feel, with ocean views and a finish-area setting that many runners come back for.
The marathon is a Boston Qualifier and the event is World Athletics sanctioned. Race weekend includes the marathon, half marathon, 8K, 5K, and kids’ run, with the shorter Saturday events based at Willows Beach Park in Oak Bay and the Sunday races starting and finishing downtown.
For runners planning a fall trip to Victoria, it also sits within a broader British Columbia race calendar and Victoria road-racing scene.
