About
KRC Midsummer 8K brings a summer morning race to Boyce-Gyro Beach in Kelowna, with Lake Okanagan setting the tone for the day. It has been part of the local running scene for more than 30 years.
The 8K is the main feature, alongside shorter race options and a kids’ race. The course is set up for runners who like a steady rhythm and a quick effort on paved lakeside routes.
It also fits neatly into the wider season of road races in Kelowna and summer racing in the Okanagan.
Schedule
Please check the official website for up-to-date times and pricing.
Course
The 8K begins and ends at Boyce-Gyro Beach and follows Lakeshore Road plus the dedicated multi-use pathways beside Lake Okanagan. It is an out-and-back route with wide paved sections, minimal intersections, and a turnaround in City Park before the return to the finish.
Bib pickup is listed for race morning from 6:30 AM at the start/finish area, with early pickup also planned for July 11. Chip timing is used on the certified course.
