About 2026 CIBC Run for the Cure Halifax
The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure Halifax takes place Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Garrison Grounds. This national breast cancer fundraiser brings together individuals and teams for 1K and 5K walk/run options in support of research, support services, and advocacy.
Registration is free. Event day opens at 9:00 a.m., opening ceremonies at 10:15 a.m., with the 5K starting at 11:00 a.m. and the 1K at 11:05 a.m. For more Halifax races and 5K events, it’s a large fall charity run on the Halifax waterfront green.
