The Emera Blue Nose Marathon is Atlantic Canada’s biggest running celebration! From the full marathon to fun youth runs, this event brings the Halifax community together across a weekend of movement and spirit. With stunning coastal views and a famously supportive crowd, it’s the perfect blend of challenge and cheer.
What makes it special:
- Certified Boston Marathon qualifier
- Hilly, scenic course with lively crowds
- Runs across the Macdonald Bridge into Dartmouth and back

Race weekend details:
- Expo Location: Zatzman Sportsplex, Dartmouth
- Aid Stations: Every 3–4 km with water, electrolytes & gels
- Cut-off Time: 6 hours for the full marathon
- Weekend Dates: May 16–18, 2025
