About
The Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women is a celebrated national event series dedicated to supporting women's mental health programs across Canada. Since its inception in 2013, the series has raised over $23 million for local mental health charities, making a significant impact on the lives of women and their families nationwide.
The Calgary edition of the Run for Women takes place at Edworthy Park, offering a scenic and supportive environment for participants. The event is inclusive, welcoming runners, walkers, wheelers, and individuals of all ages and genders. Proceeds from the Calgary event benefit the Calgary Eating Disorder Program and women's mental health services through the Calgary Health Foundation, ensuring that funds raised have a direct and meaningful local impact.
Participants can choose from a 1K "Little Steps" run/walk for children, a 5K run/walk, or a 10K run/walk. Each participant receives a generous swag bag, including a technical t-shirt and a Run for Women UNSTOPPABLE bracelet, making the event both memorable and rewarding. The Run for Women is more than just a race—it's a community celebration of resilience, support, and empowerment.

The terrain is primarily flat with gentle elevation changes, making it accessible and enjoyable for participants of all fitness levels. The 1K, 5K, and 10K routes are well-marked and supported, ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for everyone.
