Niagara Ultra 2026 - 10KM Run/Walk
Niagara Ultra 2026

About
The Niagara Ultra stands as one of Ontario's premier ultra-marathon events, celebrating over three decades of excellence since its inception. As the 32nd annual running approaches in 2026, this prestigious event continues to attract runners from across Canada and beyond to experience one of the most scenic ultra-marathon courses in North America.
Presented by the St. Catharines Roadrunners & Walkers, the Niagara Ultra is an official event in the renowned Ontario Ultra & Trail Race Series (OUTRACE), marking it as a key destination for serious ultra-marathon enthusiasts. The race serves dual purposes as both a charity fundraiser and a Boston Marathon qualifier, offering fast times on its scenic, traffic-free course.
The event's crown jewel is its stunning course that follows the Niagara River Recreation Trail, providing continuous views of the Great Niagara River while runners traverse through picturesque wine country and past iconic landmarks. The out-and-back format ensures all participants experience the dramatic turnaround at the brink of Niagara Falls, creating unforgettable memories regardless of distance.
2026 marks a special year as it's an 80K year, when the race expands its distance offerings to include the challenging 80-kilometer option alongside the traditional 50K, marathon, half-marathon, and 10K distances. This alternating schedule makes the 80K opportunity particularly coveted among ultra-marathon completionists.
With its combination of fast, scenic terrain perfect for personal records and Boston qualifying attempts, plus its welcoming atmosphere that accommodates both walkers and runners, the Niagara Ultra represents the pinnacle of Canadian ultra-marathon experiences.
