About Chase the Pace 2026

Chase the Pace is back for 2026 — a collaborative track event presented by Mile2Marathon and Run Ottawa that invites runners of all abilities to experience the pure rush of racing on the track. Held at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility starting at 4:00 PM, the event features five race options: 5000m, Mile, 800m, 400m, and a free 400x1 Relay for all ages, so every runner can find their perfect challenge.

What makes Chase the Pace special is the heats format: participants are grouped with others running at a similar pace, with expert pacers guiding each group toward their goals. Whether you're chasing a personal best or just want to feel the electricity of track racing for the first time, this is an environment built for both ambition and inclusion.

Proceeds support Camp Quality, which provides year-round programs for children with cancer and blood disorders. Online registration closes June 11 — there is no on-site registration, so book your spot early.
