2026 Death Race

Death Race returns to Grande Cache, Alberta on August 1-2, 2026 with a classic mountain-ultra atmosphere at the Grande Cache Recreation Centre and Central Park. Runners can choose from 118K, 42K, relay, and kids race options. The course is known for serious mountain terrain, major elevation gain, and a dramatic route through the Canadian Rockies.

The 118K route starts and finishes on a high plateau, crosses three mountain summits, and includes major elevation change plus a river crossing at Hell’s Gate canyon. Marathon, relay, and kids race options use the same Grande Cache host area and race-day venue network.
